Billie Hawkins
MS, LPC

Billie Jo Hawkins, MS, LPC is the owner of With You Counseling Services, LLC. She has dedicated her career to helping others with mental health needs in our community.

Billie Jo worked hard as a wife, mother and student to graduate from Clarion University with her bachelor’s degree in psychology, then a Master’s degree in in Rehabilitative Sciences and returned to obtain her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She then worked towards meeting the requirements of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.

She began her career working with children and families providing behavioral interventions and understood that she was a helper. Billie returned to college to then further her education to become a counselor. She worked several years in a local community health center where she was part of an intensive treatment team that helped young adults transition from being in the “system” as children and then into adulthood. Being part of this team gave her a lot of experience working with people who have trauma, borderline personality disorders, anxiety, and depression diagnoses. Billie also held supervisory positions at this community mental health center. She was introduced to Venango County’s Problem-Solving Court program and became a team member offering the mental health counseling treatment for those participants struggling with co-occurring diagnoses.

Billie is very aware and understands the effects of vicarious trauma and helper burn out. She is passionate about helping others but needed to make a change to ensure that she continued in the field of mental health. Billie decided to open her own private practice in 2020, With the support of her husband, family, and friends she was able to open a private practice that has grown and continues to help meet the mental health needs in our community.

Billie has extensive training and experience working with people who have had a traumatic past, struggle with anxiety and depression, early in recovery from substances and grief and loss.
She uses CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy, FFTT (Forward Facing Trauma Treatment), and Worden’s tasks of grief. Billie is currently being trained in EMDR and working on her EMDR certification.

In her spare time, Billie enjoys riding her side by side with her husband, family, and other riding friends. She also enjoys crafting and making spaces look beautiful and comfortable. Billie loves making memories with her family and friends around her pond and cabin. She is always up for an adventure to explore a new area. Billie stands firm in her faith system to help her help others.
